VIDEO: Longshot Congressional Candidate Gets Into Scuffle At Popular Maui Beach Resort

KIHEI, Hawaii — A video posted on the popular Facebook page ‘Big Island Thieves’ is turning some heads, as it appears to show longshot congressional candidate Kirill Basin involved in a physical and verbal confrontation with other beachgoers at the Mana Kai Maui Beach Resort in Kihei. Posted to the Big Island Thieves Facebook page on the evening of August 2 and now circulating elsewhere across the social media platform, this incident comes on the heels of Basin’s arrest at a Maui County government building in May for terroristic threatening in the first degree after allegedly brandishing a gun. Basin is running for US Congress in Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district.
